Pegram Associates, Inc. has been involved in the Grand Strand area for over 25 years and has evolved as the premier architectural firm along the Grand Strand. Notable projects in the area include Broadway at the Beach Retail and Entertainment Complex; the Ocean Club clubhouse for the Grande Dunes; 7 buildings and renovations at Coastal Carolina University; approximately 20 elementary, middle, and high schools for Horry County School District; and the new Children's Museum of South Carolina. Additionally, Pegram Associates, Inc. has designed over 75 high-rise towers accounting for over 11,400 condominium units and over 12 mid-rise towers accounting for over 2,100 condominium town homes and live / work units, recently many of whom are located in The Market Common Development in Myrtle Beach. The firm is currently handling projects along the Grand Strand with a total construction volume in excess of $1,000,000,000.Pegram Associates, Inc. doesn't actively solicit awards but nonetheless has been fortunate to receive many recognitions including being recently named Architect/Architectural Firm of The Year for 2005 awarded by the local readers of Myrtle Beach Herald "The Best of The Year". Other design awards in past years have included SC Tourist Attraction of the Year for 3 different projects, SC Governor's Cup Award, Building of the Year by the Metal Building Manufacturer's Association for New Commercial Buildings over 10,000 SF, Restaurant Building of the Year from Mesa, Arizona, and an Achievement Award for Best Project constructed by a member of AGC of the Carolinas for the construction of a 10 story tower above, and independent of, an existing 4 story structure.

Pegram Associates, Inc. is the successor firm to the firms of Pegram Associates, PA, of Statesville, North Carolina, and Riddle and Wilkes of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.Pegram Associates, PA began practice in 1959 as Adams and Pegram, Engineers/Architects in Statesville, North Carolina. That firm offered complete architectural and engineering services until 1972 when it ceased offering engineering services and became Pegram Associates, PA. That firm then continued through 1987.This firm was organized as Riddle and Pegram Associates in 1982 as a result of the acquisition of the Myrtle Beach firm of Riddle and Wilkes by the Statesville, North Carolina firm of Pegram Associates P. A. The staff of Riddle and Wilkes was retained and one member of that staff Dennis Springs is now Vice President of this firm. Following the retirement of Harold Riddle in early 1986 this firm was reorganized to its present format as Pegram Associates, Inc. and relocated to new and expanded quarters. In 1987 the companion firm of Pegram Associates P. A. in North Carolina was closed and all work transferred to the Myrtle Beach office.
